  • 1 (8 ounce) package imitation crabmeat (shred with fingers)
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons cajun seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic

directions

  • Mix all ingredients together until smooth.
  • Place in fridge for an hour with a line of plastic wrap on top.
  • Take out. Stir and serve with any kind of cracker or chip that you like.

  1. This is a great use for imitation crab. It is perfect for spreading on crackers but would need to be thinned a little to use as a dip. It was certainly easy to make and you get a lot. I made it as written and got a full 8 oz. cool whip container. Next time I'll add a little lemon juice. Thanks for posting. Made for Bargain Basement Dec. 2010.

I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. My great grandmother, grandmother and mother taught me to cook while we were at our Southern Bayou Home on Bayou DuLarge in Theriot, La. I have been cooking my entire life. I am dating a wonderful cajun man who is from more of the country of the cajun's rather than the bayou. So his meal likes tend to be just a little different than mine. While my cooking and meal likes are more seafood oriented, his tend to be more meat oriented.
