    The festival of Navratri is on (from 19/9/09 to 27/9/09) and I am fasting for all these 9 nights. So, I thought why not share something that you too could have during these nights/days and enjoy your fast. Try and let me know what you think! I learnt about this recipe from Sanjeev Kapoor's show on TV today.

    Directions:

      Heat water in a pan.

      Add salt and potato pices. Allow the potatoes to blanch.

      On the side, heat coconut oil in a pan.

      Add mustard seeds, green chillies, curry leaves and cashew nuts.

      Once the cashews start to turn brown, add the potato pieces, salt and the grated coconut.

      Toss and saute well.

      Serve hot with roti made from Rajgiri atta and sabudana khichdi (sago) on the side.
