This a wonderful light salad and spring is almost here .
- 8 slice bacon
- 226.79 g package frozen peas
- 118.29 ml chopped celery
- 118.29 ml chopped green onion
- 158.51 ml sour cream
- 236.59 ml chopped cashews
- salt and pepper
- In medium bowl combine peas, celery, green onions , and sour cream , toss gently to mix , just before serving . stir in cashews and bacon . season with salt and pepper . enjoy !
This recipe caught my eye & I wasn't disappointed. The crunchiness is stellar & the sour cream made for a terrific non runny dressing. I used a 16 oz bag of peas, added a generous amount of the lemon pepper seasoning suggested by another reviewer, and added a half cup of grated cheddar cheese. I will definitely make this again. Instead of the slices of bacon, I used 3 tablespoons o Hormel's Real Bacon Pieces, & then I substituted lemon pepper for the usual S&P ~ All for a very nicely flavorful salad! Love those peas! Thanks for sharing the recipe! [Made & reviewed in New Kids on the Block recipe tag]
