Tried this over some fresh Peaches, just peeled and sliced the peaches 4 medium sized, sprinkled with some splenda 1.5 pkts and put 1/2 cup flour, 1/4 cup butter and 1/4 cup sugar a sprinkle of nutmeg and a sprinkle of cinnamon over the peaches and baked for 25 mins. at 375% it was great. served it with a scoop of vanilla Ice cream super delicous. The best crumb toppings I've ever tried
i made apple and blackberry crumble and this topping was excellent. My mum would't leave without me writing down the crumble recipe. It would be great on top of anything. Tahnks
Delicious! This is the type of crumble mixture I like the best; crumbly, as opposed to crispy. Instead of softening the butter, I dropped pieces of it into the flour, and let my Kitchenaid stand mixer cut it into the flour until it resembled breadcrumbs. I made peach crumble with this, using Libby's Premium Sliced Peaches. (24.5 oz, in a plastic jar). I drained peaches, and mixed them with 1/2 a teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon of ginger. (I didn't add any sugar to the peaches). I topped the dessert with whipped cream sprinkled with sugar & cinnamon. We all enjoyed this immensely! Yummy stuff!
Superb! Easiest and tastiest recipe for crumble I've seen. I also use it for savoury dishes by simply replacing the sugar with a pinch of salt and some seasoning, depending on the dish. YUM, YUM, YUM.
