Crumbed Beef Sausages

"Economical meal, serve with mashed potato and steamed vegetables and a gravy or barbecue sauce. Can be taken up to the crumbed point then fried to colour the crumbs and heat through in the oven. Also for a change you could spice up the crumbs with ground cayenne, chilli etc. Have also crumbed and frozen for use at a later date."

  1. I can't believe that I haven't rated this beofre. I have been making this for about 5 years and my kids LOVE this. Thanks for posting!

  2. This was just pretty good. I made the recipe as stated. The crumb coating kind of took away from the sausage flavor. I'm sure it is only a personal preference, but I won't make this again.

  4. These are good ! I made 8 beef, and 8 pork, and I made 4 of the beef with some grated cheddar cheese. Other than that the recipe was prepared according to it directions. What a great quick lunch. Made for Potluck tag.

  5. YUM!!! I haven't had crumbed sausages for soooo long. These were delicious. I used Lamb flavoured sausages, but otherwise followed this exactly. Great idea to cut them in half - makes things so much easier. I added some chilli flakes to the crumbs, but as suggested there are so many variations to this dish. Great and quick weeknight meal. Thanks for posting.

With the demise of the forums and with no more interaction on site with what was a great community and it was a pleasure to get to know so many of you over the years and to have had the privilege of meeting some of you in person. For me now this is just another recipe site like to many on the net, it has lost its specialness, such a pity especially when Scripps changed the name from Recipezaar to Food.com and made this statement sorry cannot replicate here as considered invalid but they basically said yes the community was valuable hence .com was short for community but it was a pack of lies as they were not willing to put the money into that community and got rid of the forums which was the community so for .com has become .crap.
