Delicious and easy way to make coffee cake!
- 1⁄2 cup butter (preferably whipped)
- 1 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1⁄2 cup nonfat milk
- Combine butter, flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt and mix until crumbly. Save 1/2 cup for topping. To the reminaing mixture, add egg and milk. Mix well. Pour into a greased and floured 8X8 pan. Sprinkle saved crumb topping on top. Bake 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
Not enough brown sugar in recipe. The topping should be made separately and have more sugar and butter in it. Out of all coffee cake recipes I have made and I have made a lot this is not even worth making.

Loved the flavor and it couldn't have easier to make. My only issue was that the edges were really starting to brown at 30 mins and the center was still raw. Next time I'll bake it at 350. This cake smells so good while baking. Thanks for posting the recipe.
