I got this recipe from a coworker. The topping calls for 3 sticks of butter, but I only use 2. Make sure the topping is ready when the cake comes out of the oven, it needs to go on while the cake is still warm so it sticks (or melts) into it.
- For cake, combine ingredients and bake in a greased cookie sheet/jelly roll pan for 13 minutes at 350.
- Combine topping ingredients and put over warm cake and bake 15 minutes more.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar when cool.
Yummy and easy cake! I only used 2 sticks of butter also and only a sprinkle of cinnamon and added a cup of mini chocolate chips. A word to the wise, make sure your jellyroll pan has deep enough sides. Mine is only about a inch high and was deep enough for the cake itself but when I went to put the crumbs on I had to put a bigger bakind sheet underneath to catch the drop offs and I didnt want it spilling in the oven.
