This is an all time favorite at my house. I make it a little differently though and never thought about baking biscuits on top. Thank for the novel idea. I usually use a can of VegAll mixed vegetables and a jar of either beef or chicken gravy and I add about a teaspoon of dill weed. The dill is a perfect herb with beef. It adds just a bit of tartness to the dish. Thanks for posting.

This was easy to fix and good. I liked the mixture of veges and ground beef. However, I think I would like a bit more sauce or gravey so when fixing this again I will add two packages of gravy mix. Also, I think I will add a can of diced potatoes to the casserole. I read the review about the problems with the biscuits not cooking and followed the cooking directions on the can of biscuits and had no trouble with the biscuits cooking correctly. Thanks for posting your recipe. I am going to fix this for my granddaughter. I really think she will like all the veges. Made for fall PAC 2008.

Great taste! Nice and hearty on a cold winter's night. Even our 1 and 3 year olds ate it! My package of veggies was 16 ounces, so I added 5 ounces of water so that it had enough water to boil. Just drained a little out at the end. The only problem I had was with the rolls. I baked for the stated amount of time and the middle of the rolls were uncooked. I think in the future, I will try baking at 350, which was the temp the biscuits called for, and just bake until they are done. Since the innards are cooked, changing the temp shouldn't matter.
