This was a real DH pleaser at my house. It cooked for 8 1/2 hrs total with 1 1/2 hrs on high and the rest on low, and he said that the meat was fork tender. I was going to thin the soup gravy but he said there was no need, that it was fine as it was. This is, of course, a good way to use the less tender/less expensive cuts. I used two 4 oz pieces of round steak and the full can of soup and he's already looking forward to tomorrow's lunch.
- 1 lb steak (any round steak is good)
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
- salt (optional)
