So easy and delicious!!! I used a smoked turkey leg instead. Definitely in my rotation.

Great way to cook beans. I soaked the beans during the day and cooked them in the crock pot overnight. Will be using the beans in 2 different recipes I have picked out. Used less onion, celery and bell pepper but it smells so good. Beans came out great.

This is a keeper! Though, I have to admit that I misunderstood the recipe. I thought the 6 c. water was for the soaking of the beans. After 2 hours I added 1 c. white wine and 1 can chicken broth. My husband came home and saved the meal. He added 4 cups of water to my additions. I'm not the best cook. That's why I love this website!!!

Loved it! Very simple. I added some finely chopped red potatoes and carrots to help thicken the base, but not necessary. It has a bit of a kick to it with the seasonings and the sausage, but can easily be toned down if you prefer it mild. I will definitely be making this again!

I made this recipe in my dutch oven recently. I adjusted the seasonings to my tastes (ie. adding a lot of garlic :) ) and omitted celery and bell pepper. I also used chicken broth instead of water. Great comfort food!
