I really enjoyed this recipe. We ended up putting in one can of diced tomatoes with jalapenos, and one stewed. Also added flour to the sauce to thicken it into more of a gravy. Thanks, it was great!

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 12 lbs round steaks
  • salt and pepper
  • 14 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 cups sliced onions
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup sliced carrot
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 12 cup water

Directions

  1. Salt and pepper the steak.
  2. Pound in the flour.
  3. Cut into 6 pieces.
  4. Fry in hot oil until browned on both sides.
  5. Put in crock pot.
  6. Fry onions in same pan.
  7. Add to crock pot.
  8. Add tomatoes and carrots.
  9. Add garlic salt and water.
  10. Cook on low about 5 hours.
