This was excellent! I loved the flavor of the chocolate stout with the corned beef. I served it with carrots, potatoes, and cabbage cooked in Goya ham boullion. This will be my go-to recipe for corned beef and cabbage. Thanks!

Tried this for the first time last year when corned beef briskets on sale & LOVED it. Couldn't find Youngs Dbl chocolate and used Guiness but since then have located a source for the Youngs (World Market) and have bought 3 btls to use this spring.

Very good and easy. I used Guinness and I did not think it was bitter at all. I did add carrots too.

My family really liked this recipe. Couldn't find chocolate stout so I used Murphy's stout and added a tablespoon of high quality cocoa. Flavor was great! I took the leftover juices and onions and saved for a stew that was thumbs up too. I will be making this recipe again! Thanks!

AWESOME!! I made this for St. Pats day today and the whole family LOVED it and already asked me for the recipe. I added carrots and potatoes under the corned beef and cooked my cabbage in a separate pot using the same recipe above of the beef broth and beer. WONDERFUL!! Thank you!

I cooked a 5 lb. corned beef in the crockpot using this recipe, it was delicious and had a great, complex flavor. My husband absolutely loved it! Will definitely make again.
