Crock Pot Steak and Gravy
"I found this recipe in our local paper. I was looking for easy crockpot meals to fix when I am in nursing school! I think I will try it with mashed potatoes."

- 4 cube steaks
- 4 tablespoons oil
- 1 1⁄4 ounces brown gravy mix
- 1 1⁄4 ounces onion soup mix
- 2 cups water
directions
- Brown steaks in oil. Stir gravy mix, soup mix, and water together and pour into crockpot. Place steaks in gravy mixture and cook on low 5-6 hours.

So very tasty, fork tender meat, and loved having the gravy made for me during cooking time. Since my DH does not like cubed steak but this sounded like a great recipe I used 6 pieces of swiss steak. Had some mushrooms that needed to be used so I sliced them and added to the crock pot. Will make this again! Made and reviewed for PAC Spring 2013.
