Great for working folks who want to come home to a nice dinner-just boil your pasta and dinner is done!

- 2 cloves garlic, minced/crushed
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can whole tomatoes
- 12 ounces tomato paste
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons oregano
- 1⁄4 teaspoon thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- Combine all ingredients in crockpot.
- Stir well and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.
My DH really liked this spaghetti sauce. It was a little too thick for my taste - and I generally like a thick and hearty sauce. When I was adding all the ingredients to the crock pot, I kept thinking, where's the water? Anyway, this sauce was cooked on low , and in 5 hours it was ready to go. Unfortunately, that was 1 oclock, and we weren't ready for dinner, so I just let it sit in the crock pot and it did get overcooked. I think the taste overall was very good, and it was very simple to put together. Next time, I will not let it cook as long and I will add some water and possibly less meat. Overall, it was very good and we enjoyed it.
I don't like my sauce too thick so I used just 1 pound of burger and added a 28 oz. can of tomatoe sauce. I cooked it on low for 5 hours and it was definately done. Good flavor.
