I made this last week. It was simple and delicious. The only change I made was I used minced garlic (from a jar) and rubbed it over the slits it the roast. Definitely a keeper. Will make this one again.

I made this over the weekend and it was wonderful! I think Squeaky104 must have done something wrong, because this is by far one of the best crockpot pork roasts that I've had. Thanks for posting...it's awesome.

This was yummy and easy. I put it in the crockpot and went off for a busy day,and came home to a wonderful, tender juicy meat. thanks.

This pork recipe was fabulous. I have a new Hamilton Beach crock pot with probe and it worked famously. I had a 5 lb roast so I doubled the water and soy which made for plenty of liquid which I transferred to a pot and cooked down a little for a wonderful au jus (not quite thick enough to call gracy in my opinion). I, too, added the cooked onions into sweet potatoes and mashed (thanks for that idea reviewer) Five stars all the way!!

My husband said this was the best pork roast he's ever had. I used the ingredients as written and reduced the cooking time a little because my roast was smaller. I fished the cooked onions out of the pot and whipped them into the sweet potatoes I made and those were really good, too. Definitely a keeper! Thanks for posting the recipe.

I made this for my family and they ALL loved it. Amazing! I served it with sweet potatoes. The next night we used our leftovers for BBQ sandwiches, delicious too! I'm going to make this with a larger roast next time, so my family of 5 can have more to enjoy.

I used Worcestershire Sauce instead of soy sauce and added bell pepper rings to mine as well. It's in the crock pot right now. I'll know tomorrow how well it turns out!!! =)

I liked this alot, simple and tasty. Living at the beach for the summer always makes me bring out the crock pot. I'm always looking for things easy to prepare for the family after a day at the ocean. Everyone enjoyed this one!

I have made this roast pork for about 20 years now. The recipe that came with my crock pot is the same, except it calls for 1 C water. Sometimes I double the water and the soy sauce to make loads of gravy. My friend hated pork roast until she tried this one. Now it is her favourite too. Thx for sharing.

This had a really good flavor and the meat was very tender. I didn't have whole cloves so I used 1/4 tsp ground. We'll make this again!

Delicious roast. I loved the garlic flavor infused throughout the meat by the slices of garlic (I used extra). Thanks for posting!

Phenomenal dish! Very tasty. One quibble: the meat ended up inconsistently moist. Some parts were wonderful, while others were a bit dry. Also, I think you could add at least another onion or two...they really add to the meal. But these comments should not dissuade anyone from trying this dish...go for it!

This was excellent! The only thing that I changed was to add a little more garlic. Very easy to make and warming on a cold fall day.

This was a great crock pot pork roast. And really easy to prepare. I also used the prepared garlic in the jar and it worked well.

This pork roast was delicious, succulent, fall off the bone tender. I used La grille spicy pepper medley instead of pepper, and maybe a bit more garlic. YUM!

Smells great but... I had 4 for dinner and the only one who liked it was the cat. Sorry, but there was a bitter flavor not sure if it was from the cloves, the garlic, or the bay leaves, or just the combination. Definitely will not make it again.
