I have been making this for years. It is easy to put together and tastes yummy! Some times I throw veggies in the crock pot also for an all in one dinner.

First let me say I do not like roast beef! But this was ok. I made it because my DH is a meat and potatoes man. He absolutely loved it! My DD did too. So, after 30 years of trying to make a roast they would eat, here it is! Thanks, for posting.

I made this recipe on 12/16/09 for mine and SO's dinner. I used the amout of flour called for, but changed how it was used. I took some of the flour and coated meat as the recipe instructed then sprinkled some seasoned salt and pepper over the meat, browned the meat in a bit of shortening before placing in the crockpot. And mixed the remaining flour with both mixes and water, poured over the meat and let the crockpot do it's thing :). After about 7 1/2 hours the roast was done, but the gravy wasn't as thick as we liked it. So, the juices were removed to a saucepan, added a bit of flour, and stirred over a low heat till the right thickness was reached.I served this with mashed potatoes and carrots. This will be made again. Thank you for posting and, " Keep Smiling :) "
