This was very good...my whole family loved it. The only change I made was to sub the corn syrup with molasses and honey, and to make 1 1/2 times the sauce recipe to make it juicier. Came out perfect!
brilliant. i just made a lower carb version and used splenda instead of the corn syrup. thanks for posting this!
i know i reviewed this before, oh well, we love this recipe!! dh lived in TN and AL before he met me(and was happy) and he had no clue that this was not pork. i have made one tiny change, i don't use the corn syrup because there is enough sugar in the ketchup. really great recipe!!!!
I was really excited to see this recipe - love pulled pork, but have friends who prefer turkey to pork, so I made this for them... it was a hit! used honey & molasses instead of corn syrup, and it was fantastic! thank you!
Made it today with leftover turkey and pork. Added 1C white vinegar, 1/2 C brown sugar, 1/2 C celery, and extra 1/2 C ketchup. My son (the picky eater) ate 4. Thank you for sharing this keeper.
This was great - I didn't know you could do pulled turkey like a pulled pork, but this was it! I think next time I'd add some heat (tabasco or the equivalent) to give some interest; without it, the barbecue sauce is very tasty but very mild. Probably I'll increase the liquid smoke as you suggest in the intro, too. My kids liked it ("I like this pork, mommy!"). Thanks!
Sorry, just didn't like this dish. Tried a version of it with chicken and loved it.
