    A Jack Frost favorite is a pleasant change of pace from beef based stews. If you cannot find lima beans, go ahead and use peas. I have also put gremolata on it when serving.

    Directions:

      Brown pork in oil.
    2. 2
      Put slow cooker liner in crock pot.
    3. 3
      Put pork and vegetables in crock pot.
    4. 4
      In medium sized bowl put diced tomatoes, wine, tapioca, salt, brown sugar, basil, garlic, and pepper; and pour over pork/veggie mixture.

      Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours.

      I enjoyed this, but it was a little bland. I'd like to try it with mixed sweet potatoes and regular potatoes. I only cooked it for 8 hours. It was really nice to come home after a long day at work and have dinner ready...I love my crockpot! Made this for Newest Zaar Tag.

      Very good stew which was a nice change from the usual. Skipped the tapioca but otherwise made as directed. Served with corn bread for a very nice dinner. Thanks for sharing!
