Crock Pot Melt-In-Your-Mouth Country Style Steak

"I got this recipe from a friend at work about 8 years ago. It's been my husband's favorite meal ever since. He's requesting it for his special Father's Day Dinner this weekend. This meal is so super easy and so rewarding. I usually put it all together in the crock pot before I leave for work in the morning and, when I get home, it's ready to serve. Cooks up a delicious gravy and goes great with mashed potatoes!"

  1. I have a 6 quart crock pot. Recipe calls for 6 cubed steaks, but I wanted to add 12. Can I double the recipe and if so do I double the time as well like cook on low for 12 hours?

  1. I have been making this for years, but with only one can of soup and a little added Worcestershire sauce. I decided to try to make it OAMC, and it worked beautifully! I mixed the soup, water, sauce and Recipe#24952, then put them in a ziplock freezer bag. I put the cube steaks in a large freezer bag, then dropped the small bag with the soup mixture inside. It was frozen for about 2 months before I thawed it and made it in my crock pot. It worked wonderfully! Thanks for a delicious, easy, and OAMC friendly steak!

  2. I was excited to try this recipe..such good reviews. I went entirely by the recipe. I ended up with not a tasty meat mush. My family wouldnt eat it and they are not picky! I wasted $12.00 in cube steak

  3. Great recipe! I decided to make this a complete one pot meal, added in a medium size bag of baby carrots, 6 baby red potatoes, and a 2 celery stalks cut up into 4 pieces and 1 cup of sliced fresh mushrooms. It was perfect and not too salty at all! Oh and I used lower sodium cream of mushroom soup. Thank you for posting Bullscreeker! This is a great recipe I will use often! :-)

  4. Very tasty! I used 4 cube steaks, 2 cans garlic cream of mushroom soup, one can beef consomme, and i pkg. beefy onion soup.

  5. Pretty good but we felt it needed a bit more seasoning...I will definately make it again but will add some Garlic and some Red Pepper Flakes to give it a little kick. Served it with Veggies and Garlic Bread, which was great for sopping up the gravy.

I have two beautiful little girls and one very stubborn (but spoiled) Himilayan cat. Always excited to try a new recipe.
