This was very good. I HAD to add garlic, because its hamburger! Isn't not adding it a sin? ;) I did the freezer method, and cooked it for 11 hours, which was perfect. I did have a little trouble because there was too many carrots and potatoes for the lid to close on my 6 quart crockpot. I didn't use big veggies and I had quartered the potatoes. I removed roughly one potato and two carrots, and then it fit fine. Maybe it would fit if the potatoes were sliced thinly, but the recipe doesn't state if you should cut them or leave them whole, so I guessed. However, after cooking, the veggies were incredible, tasted like ones you get when cooked with a roast. Wonderful! I will absolutely be making this again! Thanks!

  1. Place carrots and potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker Combine remaining ingredients.
  2. Mix well and shape into a loaf.
  3. Place the loaf on top of the vegetables, it should not touch the sides.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours Can make loaf ahead and freeze, will cook just as well if put into cooker frozen, just cook 10 to 12 hours.
