I was disappointed by this recipe. For one, I would hardly call it a crock pot recipe. Most of work is done on the stove in a separate pan - using the crock pot is just an after-thought. For two, it's really uninspiring. Does it takes like mac and cheese? Sure, but it's not the jaw-dropping, gotta-have-it kind. Plus as a busy mom, I don't think as being useful. I had to put in extra spices (like pepper) to give it any kind of taste. My kids liked it, but they even weren't excited by it. That should say it all.

I made this for our Christmas potluck at work. I cooked the macaroni and mixed it all up the night before, then put in the crockpot in the morning at work and just left on the warm setting since I have a "hot" crockpot. I thought the taste was okay, but it was very sticky and clumped together by serving time. I think it was just too warm for too long. I may try this again at home when I can follow the directions more precisely. Thanks!

I made this for my kids birthday party and it was a hit. I tripled the recipe and added dry mustard, and black pepper. Mine only took two hours to cook. This was so quick and easy I could see making this for a reunion.

Very good and easy! I was fearful of adding the onions, but it gave it just a perfect, subtle taste. I only needed to cook mine 2 hours! I used skimmed evaporated milk and 2% velveeta and it worked great. I will definately make this again, probably add black pepper and perhaps dry mustard next time! Thanks for a keeper of a recipe!

No stars b/c veered off the recipe to make it "lighter". I used high fiber pasta, low fat velveeta, & light soy milk to make this and it would probably be unfair to rate it low given my changes. That said: it was horrible! Tasteless, dry, sticky & inedible. I never throw away food and I tossed 7 of the 8 cups that this recipe made. Someday maybe I'll try again with the "real" ingredients - but a warning to those who try to cut fat & calories: sometimes it just won't work. YUCK!

Yummy! As others I was hesitant about velveeta but this turned out very tasty. I followed the recipe exactly but did take the suggestion of adding some cheddar; I added it at the last 10 minutes. My cooking time was only 2 hours. I would recommend spraying the crockpot more than lightly as mine was sticking and getting a little brown on the sides of crock pot. I was out of batteries for the digital camera, otherwise I would have taken a photo. NEXT time though, there will be a next time. Thanks for the comfy recipe.

This was very good. I'm not a big fan of Velveeta, but I added some shredded cheddar in the last half hour of the crock pot. Very yummy!

This turned out perfect! I used shell pasta and light velveeta cheese and the result was pure comfort food. I normally am not a big fan of Velveeta, but it was delicious made this way. My kids also loved it so I'm sure I will make again. Thanks for posting.
