    Directions:

      Pierce lemon with fork then place in chicken cavity.

      Place chicken in slow cooker/crock pot.
    3. 3
      Combine orange juice and honey then pour over chicken.

      Cook on Low 8 hours.
    5. 5
      Using tongs remove the lemon and squeeze over chicken.
    6. 6
      Carve chicken and serve.

      Super simple to make! First time I've ever used a whole roasting chicken in the slow cooker. I cooked mine overnight for 7 hours and it was just perfect with doneness. I do think a bit of seasoning is needed so I used a garlic pepper seasoning before cooking. I think 8 hours would be too & would suggest an estimate between 6-8 hours would make this perfect depending on your own slow cooker. Great dish for our dinner which reheats wonderfully! Thanks for sharing.
