  1. YUMMY! This was such a great little recipe, and so easy too! I used about 10 cloves of garlic minced and only 1/2 cup white wine, cuz I ran out. It had a great lemon flavor and was very tender. I always use frozen meat in the crockpot only because it helps the meat stay moist, so I am glad to see someone else who does this! :)

  2. We had this tonight.Very busy day. But you made it turn out wonderful. We enjoyed our dinner so very much. Oh Yeah 5 star means NO Left overs.....Thank You...

  3. Flavor was good-garlic with a hint of lemon. I made this with boneless chicken breast and seven hours was just too long. Chicken was dry.

  4. The chicken fell apart... and we LOVED it! It smells great while cooking, looks appealing and couldn't have been more tender or flavorful. I used fresh boneless chicken thighs and browned them before adding them to the pot. I served this over short grain brown rice seasoned with salt, pepper and thyme and a side of parmesan almond green beans. Super tasty, super easy FABULOUS meal!

  5. Because of the amount of garlic used (2 heads) it was for us a Saturday dish. When you prepare this recipe don’t be hungry! The smell of garlic, wine and lemon is very appealing. The combination of the ingredients makes it a very fine dish even if it looks rustic. We served it with polenta. Thank you for posting it.

Tweaks

  1. So easy. My husband and toddler son really enjoyed this. Between the 2 of them, there was barely anything left (I didn't eat anything as I was sick with a cold/flu, unrelated to this recipe. Besides my tastebuds still haven't recovered so I wouldn't have been a good judge). My son ate it as fast as it was put in front of him. The hubby said lots of flavor and a good balance between the garlic and lemon. I used frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts. I substituted Italian seasoning for the seasoning salt and a dash of a habanero sauce for the Tabasco as I had neither of those ingredients in the house. Since the sauce didn't fully cover the chicken breasts, a few times during the cooking I did spoon some of the sauce over the chicken. We will have this again.
