Crock Pot French Dip Sandwiches

A simple yummy way to make French Dip sandwiches. Uses everyday ingredients and makes the meat and the broth for dipping all in one pot.


  1. Remove and discard all visible fat from the roast. Place in the crock pot. Combine the soy sauce, bullion and spices; pour over the roast. Cook on low for 10-12 hours. Remove meat from the broth;save broth. Shred the meat with forks. Serve on your choice of rolls with a bowl of broth for dipping.
  2. We use hoagie rolls but hard rolls are good too.

Very yummy and it makes a good amount of broth! The only thing I did different was to place a chopped onion under the roast in the crock pot because I love the onions in my sandwich. I also used fresh rosemary and thyme from my indoor garden. I served it with French bread and grilled asparagus. I will definitely make this again.

I hate to be the one to give this this a bad rating. It was easy to put together. Even with the extra chopped garlic, onions, and mushrooms I added. It was too salty. Even with lite soy sauce and a cup of water to tone it down. I will be looking for another French dip recipe.
