Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 (1 1/4 ounce) package au jus sauce
  • 1 (5/8 ounce) package Good Seasons Italian dressing
  • 1 (14 ounce) can beef broth
  • 1 (14 ounce) can water (use empty beef broth can)
  • 3 -4 lbs rolled rib roast

Directions

  1. Put all in crock pot and cook 6-8 hours on low.

Excellent recipe. Everyone loved this. I toasted the french rolls and added sliced onions to the beef. I will definitely make this again.

This was absolutley wonderful! I have always made my french dip sandwiches from a recipe I found in Taste of Home & while it was really good, this one is much quicker to make! My whole family enjoyed this!

I made this recipe twice in the month of January because my teenage son has fallen head-over-heels in LOVE with it. He ate 5 sandwiches in one sitting - and he only weighs 150 lbs! These sandwiches are just that good. I have yet to use rolled rib roast, instead using whatever I had in the freezer. I have made ours exactly as written except I've doubled the beef broth (we do love having lots of au jus!). To compile our sandwiches, I bought wheat Bolillio rolls, halved, and toasted them in the oven for just a few minutes while I'm getting the meat out of the crock. Then, I put slices of Swiss on the bread, heap on the roast beef, and wow! Magic! Thanks Bekah for sharing what is already a family favorite! :)
