This was pretty tasty! I added about 2 large peeled and diced potatoes, along with extra milk (substituted for the heavy cream) and vegetable broth instead of clam juice. I don't like things spicy, so did without the hot sauce. My boyfriend said this is "restaurant quality chowder," and I agreed; although, I would have preferred the chowder without the wine. I think this would be excellent for a company dinner, with a loaf of fresh bread on the side! Thanks, Lorac!

A nice down-to-earth recipe. Only change I would make next time is to add potatoes. Finally have a use for the oyster crackers! Thnx for posting, Lorac.

This was lovely. I didn't have clam juice so just used extra stock and wine. I used half a teaspoon of tabasco sauce and it was still not really spicy (just tasty) so might add a little chilli next time as I like spicy! Thanks for the recipe.

This was really good... I added potatoes and did half clam juice and half chicken stock as well as a little extra wine because I love the flavor
