  1. This was really great and a breeze to make. I used 2 fresh apples, chopped, rather than the dried and they were wonderful. I also used a bit more lemon juice and threw in some zest. I served with canned sweet potatoes with the sauce served over both the chicken and potatoes. Delish!

  2. UPDATE: I had to return to add this note. Though not everyone was fond of this dish, I cut up the leftover chicken and returned it to the pot. I added Hot Madras Curry Powder to it and stirred it well. A few days later I made some fresh rice and heated this up. WOW! This made an awesome curry! Since DH liked the original dish, I will definitely make this again and do the same post-meal treatment! ** (original review) This was a nice change to our standard chicken. I didn't have dried apples so used 4 fresh apples, diced. This was tasty and I made gravy out of the drippings. DS & DD were not fond of the pairing of fruit with chicken but DH and I thought it was fine. Made and reviewed for ZWT4

  3. Oh my gosh, wonderful chicken! The cranberries and apples are so good with the chicken and seasonings. I used 6 chicken breasts, closer to 3/4 cup dried cranberries and apples, and did have to add some chicken broth towards the end. Smells great while cooking and tastes just as good. This one is a keeper! Made and reviewed for ZWT 4.

  4. What a wonderful flavor this chicken was. The aroma while it's cooking doesn't dissappoint, it tastes just as good as it smells. I however, did not cook in the crock-pot, I did mine in the oven 350, covered for about 45 minutes. After 30 minutes of cooking I took out & sliced the chicken down so the flavors were all over the chicken pieces. My family LOVED this dish.

  5. This is an amazing dish. I did however, add to the ingredients. I did not have any green onion but I did use 1/4 cup chopped onion. I also added 1 1/2 cups of apple juice and also added some chopped celery. The whole house smelled so good, I couldn't wait for it to finish cooking. I served the dish with stuffing and french cut green beans.
