Delicious & oh so easy! Cooked this overnight, and by lunch the next day had BBQ sandwiches. Used 2 lb pork roast, kraft original BBQ sauce, & Coke. Very sweet tasting sauce.

I thought this recipe was fun and easy. You should have seen the looks I got when I opened the cola! I liked the flavor of the sauce- it didn't over-power the pork. I did add some chopped onion. Will certainly make this again.

Wow! This was just unbelievable. I was afraid, reading a few other reviews that the Coke flavor would be too intense. However, it was really faint, but DELICIOUS! My mom and I adjusted a few things: First of all, we added some S and P (salt and pepper), just to allow the flavors to pop. I added a bottle of Bulls-Eye, and a few squirts of Dr. Pepper BBQ Sauce (Dr Pepper BBQ Sauce). It may seem like a lot of BBQ sauce, but this meat is so absorbent, it just drinks it up. Second, I used Caffeine Free Coca-Cola (a tip from my science teacher). Third, I cooked it in less time: During my snack break (when my mom lets me take a "brain break"), I poured the CF Coke over a beautiful pork roast Mom got yesterday. I let it go in the Crock-Pot on high for 6 hours, finishing it up on low for 1 hour, because when it did finish up, it was just falling apart. This is simply wonderful. We're having it for dinner tonight!

At first I didn't have success with this recipe as the 12 hours that the recipe says to cook was too long. So I tried it a second time a week later only cooking it about 8 hours total. Then I added the sauce after I took the meat out and shredded it and did not return it to the crock pot. And behold!!! A recipe that was a husband pleaser. This will become a staple in our household.

I rubbed the roast with some sprinkles of salt, pepper, and garlic powder. I placed a couple onion slices on the bottom of the crockpot. I used Dr. Pepper and Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. In fact, I was in a hurry and turned the crock on high. The roast still turned out great. It tasted just like the bbq at a national bbq chain restaurant. Thanks for this recipe!

This is the basis for perfect pulled pork! I've made it countless times and perfect it even more each time. I suggest you add sliced onions and/or pepper to the mix as well while slow cooking. Delicious.

This was great! I thought it might be too sweet for my DH's taste, but he loved it (as well as I). Kids didn't care for it - oh well, more for us. I used two 2 lb. roasts and cooked them about 14 hours (that's when I had time to pull the pork). I did put about 1/2 cup of water in with the pork because I wasn't sure if they would dry out or stick to the bottom. Had plenty of juice when they were done. After pulling the pork, added other ingredients and cooked about 5 hours and served. Wonderful! I froze enough for at least 3 more dinners. Thanks for the receipe Tish!

Great recipe! My kids didn't care for it but my husband and I thought it was very good. I used a very small pork roast and it only needed to cook for about 5 hours on high. I added half the coke and 2 cups of Bobbie q sauce recipe 59772 and it was ready to eat 3 hous later. I only wish I would have made a bigger roast so that i would have had some leftovet to freeze!

This was great & couldn't be eaiser! I had a 4 lb. roast & cooked it overnight, maybe 12 1/2-13 hrs. Just 2 hrs after adding cola & sauce. DH ate 3 at one sitting. Great w/coleslaw and baked beans.

Tish, I love this recipe; it's so simple. The first time I made it I used a pork roast and made it exactly as your recipe indicated. The second I made it I used baby back ribs, and the third time I made it I used short ribs. With the ribs I added some onions, sliced very thin. I cooked them in the crockpot, but only for ~6-8 hrs. on low. Delicious!! Thanks for sharing.

This was very yummy. I'm in North Carolina, so of course this isn't considered "real" barbeque, but it was quite tasty. Very sweet. I would try onion next time to cut the sweetness. The first time I made it, I did it with the timing given. The second time I did about 10 hours and then 4 and it turned out perfectly fine and I was using two, 2 lbs pork roasts.

12 hours overnight using low setting and coke zero as the cola. Pulled away from bone and returned to crock pot with KC Masterpiece Original and spiced it up a bit with some hot sauce and creole seasoning. Let the crock-pot work it's magic on low for 2 hours and the wonderful aroma overtook me. I sampled it and ...WOW! Very good stuff!!! Having some friends over tonight to join my family for some serious barbecue sandwich devouring. Will pair with chips, potato salad and baked beans for a casual dine-in. And, some Maker's Mark to boot!

I have to write a review for this recipe because when we walked in the door from church my Husband and 9 year old ( who isn't a big eater at all) both said "Man, that smells good."

For the effort that was put forth for this recipe the results were amazing. My husband actually ate 3 whole sandwiches.

This recipe was so simple I think my 6 year old could make it. I cooked this overnight, drained in the morning and added my KC Masterpiece, onion and more coke. We trimmed trees all day long so this was the best lunch after a hard days work. My brother who hasn't been over for dinner much was real surprised at my BBQ Sandwiches. Compared them to this place that we go to in Centerville. Now that is a compliment!!!! This recipe is a keeper!!!!

Really good, in fact, being so simple, I was surprised how good this was. Cooked the pork roast and a can of coke for 5 hours, drained juice, returned meat to crock, shredded with forks, added a second can of coke plus two pint jars of Chip's Barbecue Sauce - Thick and Spicy (excellent sauce, by the way), and heated two hours. This made a lot, enough for me to freeze leftovers for future sandwiches. The entire family loved it. Thanks for sharing!

Very good. Unfortunately, I used a lesser quality barbecue sauce cuz that's all I had on hand. Next time I'll use a better quality sauce and I'll use more of it since I thought this came out less "wet" than I expected.
