I agree on the fact that it's much thinner than I prefer, but still very tasty! This was definitely a fork and knife type of meal which confused my daughter when I gave her those with a hotdog lol Her and DH enjoyed eating the left over chili sauce. I think next time I'll double the hotdogs for a bigger crowd as there was quite a bit of sauce left. Or maybe only one can of chili. We used chili with beans cause we like them :)

Yummy!! It certainly doesn't get any easier than this. I had this assembled and in the crock pot in about 5 mins. The part that took the longest was opening the cans. I mixed the chili and soup in the the crock pot and then stirred in the hot dogs ( I didn't even have to dirty a bowl). We really enjoyed the addition of the cheddar cheese soup. It added a creaminess to the chili that my family loved. I cooked these in my 3-qt. crock pot on "low" for 5 hours. I served them in whole-wheat hot dog buns topped with cheddar cheese, sour cream and onions. Thank you for sharing this quick and easy recipe...it is definitely a keeper!!

Great flavor! The consistency was a little thinner than I prefer, but that is just my opinion. We've had this on several occassions at my house.

I'm rating this recipe a 5 for the ease of preparation/cooking and the satisying taste. I will definitely be using this recipe again when I'm faced with a long, busy day. I loved the addition of onions & cheese to top the hot dogs. Thanks for the great and easy crockpot idea!

This is SO simple and SO tasty! I served it at my sons graduation party and they were devoured!!! I used the "hot" chili with no beans for the older kids, and I actually had more than enough sauce for the 15 hot dogs I added. No one even wanted the extra cheese, just the onions! MY DH is a chiki dog fanatic, so in the fall when football is on, I know exactly what to make!!

This recipe is great! I ended up using Hormel chili with beans because that's what we had in the house and it turned out awesome. I cooked it on low in my large crock pot 4 hours and then just kept it on warm 1 more hour or so. I had no problem with it being too thin at all. I had a few tablespoons of tomato paste handy if it got too thin, but it was not needed. Thanks so much for posting this easy easy recipe. It will come in handy for Superbowl parties and birthday pool parties.

I love this recipe! It doesn't get any easier than this and the flavor was great. I used turkey hotdogs, turkey chili with beans and just 1/2 can of cheddar cheese soup. Just right for us. Thanks for posting!

I made this for a charity fund-raiser potluck at work. I tripled the recipe and not one dog was left and I didn't even supply onions and shredded cheese. Everyone complimented me (US) for being very clever! There is enough chili left to make a chili-cheese dip for a treat for my team at work this afternoon. Thanks so much for posting this winner.

I have made chili dogs several times and this recipe makes the best I've had. Extremely easy and cooking the dogs and chili together gives it such a better taste. Thanks for sharing.

These are very tasty and so easy to make! I made for Monday night football for 7, using 16 bun length hot dogs and there was only one left when the game was over. I agree with SoozieQ though, the chili mixture is extremely thin. Still tastes great!

This was simple and tasty but after following the directions exactly the chili for this was really thin, almost soupy. I did thicken it a bit with 1 tablespoon flour mixed with 2 tablespoons of water but it was still very thin. It tasted good enough though that we just ate the chili dogs with a knife and fork!

This was so simple! I made it for my DB for deer camp and it was a hit... I did use canned turkey chili (less fat) and one of the cans added had beans for added fiber. I also used cheesy brats instead of hotdogs as DB is not a fan... Very yummy!

These are great!! Super easy & delicious. This was our pre-trick-or-treat meal this year. I served with french fries & coleslaw to complete our meal. Thanks.
