This is such a great way to use up chicken legs and wings. We get our chicken's whole from a farm, so whenever I need breast meat, off come the legs and wings too! I use this recipe when I need to just throw something quick in a pot and run! My husband and his buddy came home from the gym last night and devoured the whole pot! I guess it was good. I didn't get any! :(

  1. Wash chicken and take skin off or leave on chicken pieces (your preference) and place in crock pot.
  2. Stir together remaining ingredients and pour over chicken.
  3. Cook on low for 8 hours.

I didn't have any hot sauce or ginger so I just made it with the soy sauce & sugar, and WOW, even my picky kids LOVED it!!! They were BEGGING for seconds! Great recipe!!

Made this for dinner tonight and we quite enjoyed it. I loved the flavour combination of the spicy, salty and sweet and that little bit of ginger adds a really nice warm flavour. The only thing I would change next time would be to change the sugar to brown sugar and to reduce the quantity of sugar - it was just a bit too sweet for our tastes. Easy to follow recipe, and really easy recipe which was needed after a mad week. Thanks, Sarah - made for ZWT!

This chicken was pretty good, and I didn't think it was overly salty. But I'm not too fond of crock pot chicken. I cooked mine on high for about an hour and a half and then on low for about three hours. Maybe this is why my chicken came out kind of dry. I will definintely try this again, but next time I think I will bake it in the oven.
