Very easy to make so a great dish to make when there's time to put everything in the crockpot early enough but little time for preparation. We enjoyed these with two other vegetarian dishes for a vegetarian meal, well nearly vegetarian meal. I added a finely chopped onion and 3 cloves of minced garlic (which I'd put in 1/2 teaspoon of oil in the microwave for about 30 seconds to just soften the onion, just in case slow cooking left them not quite cooked) and I added some grindings of a fabulous rosemary and sage blend that I've been using in lots of recipes lately. Thanks for sharing this tasty recipe, bmcnichol!

hubby gave this a 3 and I would agree. the only thing that bothered us was the aftertaste left by the soup, which we felt detracted from the potatoes. i'm not usually a canned soup snob, but in this case it just didn't work for us. thank you for posting nichol. made for holiday tag, please see my rating system.

These were pretty good, but not exactly what I expected. I would've liked them to have been cheesier and the pepper flavor was really strong, very spicy! Overall, I liked them ok and may make again.

I used Creamed Soup Substitute to do this recipe. I used 2 color cheddar cheese. After 4 hours, it was ready. It's delicious and I'll be making it again :) Thanks Bonnette :) Made for Zaar Star Game.

This smelled so good while cooking and tasted good when it was done. I think I will try it without the paprika next time. So cheesy, a real comfort food. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

My DH and I both enjoyed this easy potato dish! I used Velveeta cheese and cooked it about 3 1/2 hours. Thanks! Made for 123 Hit Wonders game.

123 Hit Wonders 2007 ~ Yummy! Didn't have canned soup so made my own by cooking up mushrooms and garlic in butter, added flour and milk with a veggie stock cube. As I was a bit late in getting this started, wasn't sure if it would finish in time, so I started them in the crock pot and then transferred to a baking dish and finished off in the oven with the cheese on top. We eat a lot of taters so this was nice to do something different. Thanks for sharing!

These were very good! And so simple too. Not quite the same as au gratin potatoes, but a good substitute when you don't want the trouble! I might add extra cheese next time just because I love cheese. BTW, my DH was raving about these and he generally is not a fan of potatoes. Big thumbs up!

So easy and good with everything already on hand! Mine were done in about 2 1/2 hours, but it could just be my crock pot. Thanks for sharing! :)
