I was disappointed as well. Though it tasted okay (although a little salty) it had no hint of Teriyaki to it at all. My husband and I found it okay and I was able to get the kids to eat some but it's not something I will make again.

I must say this disappointed me. The flavor was more braised beef and vegetables than Asian really. t smelled terrific cooking, but the flavor just didn't transfer over to taste. It was edible for sure, just not really a teriyaki.

This was really good and easy to make. I used about a pound and a half of steak cut in strips (hubby likes lots of meat). I doubled the sauce and added a bag of stir fry vegetabables. I also didn't cook this in a crock pot but on the stove as it was icy this morning and I wanted to leave early and didn't get a chance to throw it in the crock. It cooked up nicely on the stove. I also added the rice directly into the pot. Everyone enjoyed it. My oldest ate three helpings.
