This was really good and oh so simple! The DH and I had to change our dinner plans after it had already been cooking for 8+hrs so I just popped it in the fridge over night... in the morning I just put it back on low... Turned out FABULOUS! Sweet... Tangy... We will be having this one again! Thanks so much!

Good stuff! I added potatoes, and at the end some cornstarch to thicken the sauce. I didn't have a stout beer but it still worked okay. Also I had to cook longer, more like 9.5 hrs.

Awesome! Awesome! You made my day! This recipe was easy to put together and taste great. My favorite part it was that this recipe is cooked in my crock pot. I made this the night before and plugged it in first thing in the morning. Will make this again!!

Delicious and very easy to prepare and eat. I made this a week or so before Christmas and forgot to review. I enjoyed cooking with Guiness and enjoyed the leftovers, both brisket and Guiness (I had to buy a 6-bottle pack because I could not find a single big bottle of Guiness). The gravy is delicious and it flavors the brisket nicely. Great recipe for the "meat and potato" eaters. Thanks for sharing.
