From a crock pot cookbook. Almost like a stew. We like it served with rice.

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet and cook meat on all sides until brown. Lower heat and add flour to skillet. Cook 2 minutes stirring often.
  2. Gradually add broth, beer, and water and bring to a boil.
  3. Transfer mixture to crock pot and add remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours or high 4 to 6 hours.
