Crock Pot BBQ - Easy

"I found this in an old quick and simple magazine, wanted to save it for a later day. It is an easy bbq recipe for the crock pot, found in the money saving tip of the week by Teri Gault. Five minutes prep time, creates a great tasting meal. I will update, once I try it."

  1. This is the perfect meal to throw into the crockpot before running out the door for the day. I used a tri tip roast, which I removed all visible fat. I did add the diced onion, but since I didn't have a green pepper on hand, I just poured the bottle of barbecue sauce over it all and cooked on high for six hours. This change in heat level was unintentional but it turned out perfect. Everybody at the table enjoyed them very much, and I'll definately make these again. I served these these BBQ beef sandwiches with french fries and of course burger buns. Next time, I may throw together a coleslaw as side dish. Oh, and there will be a next time! Thank you for sharing your recipe.

  2. We loved this! It came out so tender. I didn't use the green pepper, since we don't like the taste. We will definately make this again.

  3. This was a good, basic recipe. I followed the recipe as written other then I only needed to cook this for five hours on low. We liked this but it didn't wow us. Made for Fall PAC 2008.
