  1. Yum!!! Warm and cold!! I cooked them longer but they could take it. The only different thing I did was soaking the raisins in dark rum first. My husband liked it with custard, for me...as they were cooked, but I liked it better cold, the syrup is then less sweet. Thank you for a nice, tasty and easy recipe!

  2. Wow, cooked this for a total of 27 people Thursday Evening at an organization that I belong to. I cook one meal a month for them. This was awesome. I ran out of Baked Apples. Made it precisely according to recipe and it was simply devine. I did add a bit of Fresh Ground Pepper to each apple. Im not sure that a few red pepper flakes would not also suffice in enhancing the taste. But this was perfect just the way it was written thanks Tasty and very refreshing. Chef Angela Marie

  3. My husband and I loved this! I baked 3 apples in our small crockpot. I baked 1 hour on high and 1/2 hour on low becauce my DH didn't want to wait 2 hours! I used 2 golden delicious apples and 1 fuji. Mmmm, this will be a treat and be made often! Thanks lady!

  4. An easy way to make baked apples on a hot summer day without heating up the kitchen! Since there are just the 2 of us and I have this tiny little crock pot, I only cooked 2 Granny Smith apples. It wasn't overly sweet & I served it with vanilla frozen yogurt. Thanx ladypit!
