This oatmeal is so easy! I make it right before I go to bed, and I turn the crock pot off as soon as I get up. Everyone in my house loves it! Found this in 'Fix it and Forget it.' I also have to add in reference to some of the reviews, our family likes it mushy.
- Spray crock pot with Pam.
- Add all of the ingredients, stir, and cover.
- Cook on low for 5-6 hours.
Yum...this was so good. A very hearty breakfast. I followed the recipe exactly and also added the optional raisins. The walnuts made it extra delicious. My three year old loved it! What a wonderful breakfast on a cold morning! I would love to try making it with water to see if it would still turn out as good.
I really liked this, I only cooked it for 31/2 hours so it wasn't too mushy, used craisins instead of raisins, almonds instead of walnuts and maple syrup on top, just awesome.
I loved this, it is kinda like when you were a kid and Mom woke you up with breakfast on the table. It really is mushy but that's the way I like my oatmeal; I added frozen cranberries instead of raisins.
