I suppose all nations have their way of making tomato soup. This one I’ve learned from my mother, although she doesn’t use olive oil.


  1. Put olive oil in a pot, heat it and add flour. Fry it until brownish, add cold water and mix until become creamy.
  2. Add tomato sauce, water, season it with sugar, salt and pepper and cook about 30 minutes. Add rice 15 minutes after soup boils.
  3. When the rice is done, serve.
