The chicken came out so juicy and the coating was nice and crispy. This was a big hit in my house. I loved the subtle flavor of the mustard with the onion. Great recipe. Thank you keen5.

I've made this several times now and both my husband and I love it. A couple of times I've run low on the French-fried onions and supplement it with crushed Pepperidge Farm stuffing mix for the coating. I also add spicy brown mustard instead of ground mustard which really enhances the flavor and use a combo of boneless skinless thighs and breasts. Good stuff!

This was really good. It would probably have been better, if I'd realized that my can of french fried onions was the small can, rather than the big one, but even so, I really enjoyed this.

After reading the reviews, I also cut the butter way down. I only did 3 chicken breasts so I think I used a 1/4 of a stick which may have been why the onions did not stick very well to the chicken. I didn't taste too much of the original butter mix but it did smell fantastic! I added crunched up Wasabi Ranch croutons to mine which gave it a nice kick. Overall really good- this will be a regular at our house.

We really liked the flavors in the dish. I cut the butter in half as the others had suggested and it worked out well. My husband has already requested that this recipe become a "regular". Thanks so much for posting!

This was a definite hit at my house---the chicken was so moist! I served it with Potatoes Savoyard and they complemented each other well. Will definitely be making this again!

This was a tasty surprise. Quick, easy, nice twist on regular, ole chicken breasts. Very moist. I used the original flavor of onions. Husband and kids loved it. Thanks.

We really liked this. I made it with chicken tender pieces. Love the suggestion about using a baggie to crush onions. We substituted evaporated milk for the butter and it worked just fine. I drizzled 1 Tbsp margarine over the top instead for flavoring, otherwise we thought it would be too greasy, but that's our taste. Turned out great! Thanks for posting!

This just didn't do it for my husband and I. It tasted alright, sort of bland really and the french fried onions just sat there... they didn't really stick to the chicken. I love the idea of using the onions as a coating, and I will experiment, but this just wasn't the recipe for us.

I thought this was really good and also very very easy. I used about 3/4 stick of butter instead of the whole stick and I cut my breasts into smaller pieces, like tenders almost. Excellent flavor, even when reheated in microwave!

Hubby loved this but unfortunately my picky kids took a bite and wouldn't touch the rest. I really love those french fried onions but until they are older and a bit less picky I will have to pass this by. Thanks for a great dinner for hubby and I though!

This was a hit at my house. My husband requested that I make it again, and my daughter asked for the recipe. Quick, easy and good! I did use half the amount of butter.

I love the crisp onion coating but found that the butter made it too rich. Next time I will use mayo instead of butter but still mix in the Worchestershire & mustard. I used skinless boneless thighs. Very easy preparation and the onions are very tasty.
