Always a favorite around here, we've been making it for years! I never include the nuts and I always use creamy peanut butter, but otherwise I've used several different cereals (depending on what's in the cupboard) with great success.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 (6 ounce) package semisweet chocolate morsels (1 cup)
  • 14 cup peanut butter
  • 12 cup dry roasted peanuts (optional)
  • 6 cups Crispix cereal or 6 cups other Rice Chex or 6 cups Corn Chex
  • 1 cup powdered sugar


  1. In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate on HIGH for 1 minute.
  2. Stir and heat an additional 30 seconds at HIGH or until melted.
  3. Stir in peanut butter and peanuts.
  4. Gently stir in cereal, until well coated.
  5. Place powdered sugar in 2-gallon storage bag.
  6. Add cereal and close bag.
  7. Gently toss cereal mixture until well-coated.
  8. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
  9. Note: You can make this on the stove-top.
  10. Use a double boiler to melt chocolate, stirring constantly.
  11. Remove from heat.
  12. Stir in peanut butter and peanuts.
  13. Pour mixture over cereal and proceed with recipe.
