Easy Easy!! I used can chicken breast and sauteed fresh mushrooms. Just needed a little salt for my taste, but the whole family enjoyed!
TOTALLY worth making. I added a 1/4 cup milk, 1 cup diced asparagus, and I used fresh mushrooms (didn't have canned). If you use fresh mushrooms saute them first. I also needed to cook my casserole for closer to an hour. I might be a sodium nut but it probably needed at least a 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Maybe next time I will replace the 1/2 tsp. garlic powder with 1 tsp garlic salt. I doubled the cracker topping and was glad I did. I gave it 4 stars for prep time (closer to 40 minutes) and long cook time. Great for the day after Thanksgiving.
Another winner, Kitten!!! I used turkey, 2 cans of mushroom soup and skipped the canned mushrooms(we don't buy them) and added some leftover peas. It was delighful and I'll be making it often. Roomie doesn't do fish and I miss my tuna casserole. This is every bit as good and very creamy. It's just in time for using some of that leftover turkey from the holidays that are coming up. Thanks for sharing.
I made this last week and it was great!!! My sister who desn't make casseroles raved about it and asked for the recipe so she could make it.I had canned chunk chicken on hand and it worked great. Thanks again for another great recipe.
I made this for dinner tonight. Wow! DH said it was very good and to make again. I did not use cayenne pepper or celery (as I did not have any) and used chicken instead of turkey. Used Club crackers. Very tastey! Thank you for yet another amazing recipe Kittencal...I knew I could count on you not to let us down. 8)
