Creamy Tomato Pot Roast

"I've no idea where this recipe comes from, other than that my mother has made it my whole life. It's super duper simple, yet it is by far my favorite meal on the planet. I cannot even describe how good it is to you. You just need to try it."

directions

  • Heat a large metal oven-safe skillet on the stove. Add just enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan.
  • When the oil is hot enough, place the pot roast into the pan, and let it sit until it is browned. Repeat for all other sides. Check often as to not burn the meat.
  • When all sides are browned, remove from stove. Add both of the soups to the pan, as well as the dash of Worcestershire sauce if you desire. Do not bother mixing the soups together. I promise it will be fine.
  • Place an oven-safe lid onto the skillet, and put into an oven set at 325ºF. Cook until tender, about 2 hours.

I've been cooking since I was 5 years old. I remeber one time I tried to cook an egg in the microwave. I wound up burning out the bottom of the bowl. Another time I defrosted an egg and it got all puffy in the bowl. And then I ate it. Probably shouldn't have, but hey. I was 5. And I've been cooking ever since. I also love to play the piano. I've been doing that since I was 7. I love to play Fur Elise by Beethoven and Kiss the Girl from The Little Mermaid. My favorite TV show(s) are Avatar: The Last Airbender, h2o: Just Add Water, George Lopez, The Nanny, Good Eats with Alton Brown, Iron Chef, The Suite Life on Deck, Hannah Montana and Wizards of Waverly Place. My favorite types of music are pop, rock, Christian pop, Christian rock, Christian rap, Christian Metal, classical, Broadway, and whatever else happens to end up on my Playlist. My favorite musicals are Wicked, Mamma Mia! and Cats. My favorite resturant would have to be my Grandma's diner. Good old country cookin'.
