  1. Place onions in a large bowl.
  2. In a sauce pan combine next 4 ingredents and bring to a boil.
  3. Pour over onions.
  4. Cool 10-15 minutes.
  5. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  6. Drain onions, discarding liquid.
  7. In a bowl combine sour cream, mayo & celery seed until creamy.
  8. Add onions and toss to coat.
