This will make the most bland salad taste amazing. This is a no-fail recipe; you really should try it! I also use this in my layered deli & pasta salad.
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard (yellow)
- 1⁄4 cup vinegar
- 1⁄4 cup water
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1 cup light mayonnaise, Hellman's
- 3 -4 crushed garlic cloves
- Mix ingredients well and serve. Enjoy!
Very easy to make. Since we do not like too sweet dressings I started off with no sugar at all, tasted it and it was just perfect. So-omitted the sugar . Used it first time on a cole-slaw. Found that it was just a tad too much mayo. The second time I made it (used on a simple pasta salad) I used 3/4 cup mayo and that was much better. I realize that the name says Sweet dressing, still, I will continue making it without the sugar and with less mayo than stated. Thanks for posting. Made for PAC Spring '08.
