My grandma used to make these for my sisters and me all the time when I was younger. I never even knew of the tomato based Joes until I was in high school. I love them as a splurge (I'm lactose-intolerant).
- 1 lb ground chuck
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- Brown the beef in a skillet and pour off grease.
- Add the soup (undiluted) and stir.
- Heat until warm.
- Serve on hamburger buns.
Recipe was quick and easy! I used lean ground turkey and low fat cream of mushroom soup to make it a little healthier. Couldn't taste the difference, I will definitely be making these again.
Loved this recipe. Didn't have any cream of mushroom but used cream of mushroom and put some cheese on it, but wouldn't have thought about it if not for this as a starter. Thanks!
