My husband LOVES this casserole. He and I both love cabbage any way you can find to fix it, but this is a favorite.

Directions

  1. Cook cabbage in boiling salt water until almost tender; drain thoroughly.
  2. Place in lightly buttered casserole.
  3. Pour white sauce over top.
  4. Season with salt & pepper.
  5. Cover with cracker crumbs.
  6. Dot with butter.
  7. Bake at 350° until lightly browned, about 25 to 30 minutes.

This is absolutely delicious!!!!! I took it to my class for lunch and it was a hit! I can't believe it was so easy and I never even made white sauce before. I used medium sauce for this. Thanks for a "new favorite"!

We loved this dish too! Super simple to make, but the taste and flavor deliver an experience that you won't forget. I used a medium white sauce and used Ritz crackers (that was all I had on hand). This is a dish that I can recommend because I will be making it again! Thanks for sharing this recipe.
