Good basic recipe. Very creamy, but the garlic flavor is definitely lacking. I love garlic so I would use probably twice as much next time. I did skip the tahini because I didn't have any on hand, so that could be why mine was so bland, but I will definitely add in more garlic for sure if I make more.
THis recipe is awesome..... needs more garlic though.....and i tried it at Original JOe's and they serve it with balsamic glaze on top......... OMG was sooooooooooo yummy
Delicious!!! Tossed a small handful of pinenuts (from Trader Joes, although their price nearly doubled recently) and wow! Beat the stuff at Costco and so fresh! No need for much water (chickpeas seemed to have plenty).
I'm a garlic fiend, so I added about 4 cloves freshly minced garlic to the recipe. It came out delicious, I ate it for 2 weeks every day. Everyone else I gave it to loved it as well.
I would add a little more garlic - at least a head and a half. Had to add at least double the salt. Otherwise, good.
This is the first recipe I've tried for making hummus. I loved the roasted garlic and also how creamy the hummus was. I used normal salt and added a little more than the recipe called for. I also added some garlic powder because it tasted a little too bland without it. Over all it was a big hit!
This is a great base recipe. I love garlic, so I did not find that it was too much for use. It was a little bland as posted, so I adjusted it a bit. I increased the lemon juice and tahini and added cumin, coriander and cayenne. I topped it with a smidge of olive oil and extra garlic (minced) and roasted red pepper. It was a huge hit!
