  1. Cook and stir onion in dressing in large saucepan on medium-high heat for 2 minutes or until tender.
  2. Add mushrooms; cook 2 to 3 minutes, or until mushrooms are tender.
  3. Add broth and peas; stir.
  4. Bring to boil.
  5. Stir in rice and cream cheese; cover.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. Let stand 8 minutes.
  8. Stir in lemon peel and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh dill, if desired.

I don't usually make instant rice dishes but I needed something quick & easy. It worked well & was tasty but I agree that it was abit soupy for me also. I threw in more rice but I'll cut the broth next time. I whipped this up so quick that I forgot to add the lemon peel & parmesan, maybe next time. Nice twist with the italian dressing & cream cheese, thanks for sharing.

I changed some ingredients, namely, I omitted the mushrooms, lemon and the parm. cheese. I added cubed ham, as I made this for a main meal. It came out rather soupy-I may have used too much broth/water, since I added water to my 12 oz can of broth. It came out excellent! Very yummy. Definatly will make again!
