I followed the recipe. The first night it was moist, but didn't taste too great. The flavor was a bit overwhelming mushroomy. The next day it tasted pretty good, but be careful in the reheating or it will dry. I would put this together a day ahead, and then bake, and hopefully get the flavor and the moist texture.
This was good. I will review that again the next time that I make this. I feel that it was dry because I left in the oven too long. I made as directed except that I used 3 kinds of mushrooms.
I struggled with rating this recipe. After the first bite or two I was almost ready to push away my plate and say no. Then I kept eating and it started tasting better the longer I ate it. It was better again the next day when reheated. I doubled the garlic and just eyeballed the mushrooms. I served it with chicken and salad. Thanks for posting.
This rice dish is now one our favorites. I made it for the ZWT3 (Garden Challenge) and was very pleased. The flavor is perfect! I followed the directions exactly and wouldn't change a thing! Everytime I make this dish I will think of our sweet Amy!
This was very tasty. My DS gave it the thumbs up and then said it was even better with ketchup(ick). When finished it does have a dry look to it but one taste tells you that is not so. I really needed to soften the cream cheese more before mixing with the eggs as it took me a long time to get a creamy texture or perhaps if I had added the eggs more slowly. Mine was done in 30 min at 350. Will keep this and the memories of Amy on hand so that when I make it again she will be in my thoughts.
