Incredibly easy and quick! I used fusilli pasta, ham steaks from Costco and added fresh, minced garlic when sauteing the onions. I left out the nutmeg per personal preference. We loved that the broccoli was still crisp and not turned to mush. Served it with a spinach salad and some garlic bread. Thanks for sharing, breezer. Wonderful recipe! ***Made for Spring PAC 2013***
This is a excellent recipe!! My daughter just loved it so much that she wanted me to make again so she could watch me, The only adjustment that I made was to add fresh garlic to the onions for about 15 seconds before adding the heavy cream.
I have been thinking all morning about how to rate this recipe -- I have had several things come to mind: 10+ stars, you know that Food Network show, Best Meal I Ever Ate?, the words divine, delicious and delectable don't begin to describe this. Ok, enough raving! I made as stated -- subbing peas for broccoli and 1% milk for the whipping cream. This was perfection in every warm and creamy amazing bite. Thanks for posting! This will become a regular in our household as both DH and I ate and ate until we could not eat anymore! Although this was meant for dinner we sampled it for lunch and it was fabulous - I dropped in a handful of diced silverbeet as I have so much growing just now and I put in everything to use it up. My pasta was a wide variety - great for the sauce to cling too. So all round fabulous !! Made for Everyday is a Holiday.
This turned out to be a real delicious pasta dish. Lots of flavor. I had used angel hair pasta and it was really yummy. This is a very filling dish with all the brocoli and ham. I downsized it just for 2 so I could have some leftovers. A real creamy flavor and so fast to put together. I really enjoyed tonights meal. Thanks for your recipe breezermom.
